Helping Room 5

Today I went to room 5's classroom and Miss Thompson let us do riddles outside on a bean bags and then when I was doing the riddles the breeze blowed through my face and it felt nice. The best thing was me and my friend got to have free time. When I was helping the juniors we got to go outside and play some checkers and I won only one time then on the second game we didn't get to finish the game because Mrs Sharma told us that we can go back to class now so then we went up stairs and carried on learning some stuff.

What is it like in a cybersmarts class room

Maths (Ratios)

Today room 8 made play dough it was fun, I really enjoyed it.Then we started playing with the playdoh and the main thing why we were making play dough is because we were learning about ratio.I learned that ratio are balanced and that if you change one side you have to change the other side. when you look down you will see some pictures about what we were doing with the play dough and there will be a reciept about how to make play dough. Our whole class room had lots of fun doing ratios and do you know Miss Morrison let me help make the play dough it was awesome and the play dough felt so nice and soft.

Matariki is to celebrate the seven stars. Do you know that matariki means tiny eyes and mataariki means eyes of god. I like to celebrate Matariki because it means that I am respecting another culture.Matariki is about the seven stars that appeared just before dawn on june.

All about me

Hi my name is Stephney and I like to eat strawberries,chocolate,bananas and I like ice creams I have 3 sister and 3 brothers plus me 4 sisters. I really like to play tag and rugby I like it when I come to school because I am always starting a new day and I like it when I see my teacher everyday because she is the best teacher I could ever have.

My class

My class is very cool with the girls and the boys altogether it all amazing it just makes friendship it is cool to have friends like my class I have fun doing stuff with my class and I have fun coming into to my class I really think that the kids in room 8 we have fun and we have joy in our class rooms we don't like means because we respect the school values the school values are Tukumarie,Ako,Manaakitanga,Rangimarie and Whanaungatanga.

Brian Falkner

Hi my name is stephney and on the 15th of june 2016 we got to meet the famous Brian Falkner it was exciting because got some tips on how to be an author I can not stop thinking of that day because that day was the day I meet my first author we got to ask him questions at the end I was so overjoyed because we had lots of fun we played games we learned about the story line that they use to write there stories I bet that was the best thing that happened to me but also the best thing that happened to me is having miss Morrison as my teacher.

Hi on wednesday we did music with Mr caleb it was fun because we learned beats on the bins and we learned how to do hand drumming if you look on the bottom you will see a little video of what we were doing in music.

WALT: Organise and Sequence a Narrative Introduction

1)Once upon a time, there was a wicked old witch who lived on top of a icy mountain. The witch’s name was Harriet LongNose.

2)She had long black hair and green eyes. She had a large pointy nose with an even bigger wart at the end of it. Her fingers were thin and dry, with fingernails that were always painted purple and were so long they curled a bit at the ends.

3)Harriet LongNose lived on top of a tall, cold Mountain. The Mountain was so tall that it was always cold at the top and hardly anyone climbed it. At the top of the mountain, there was a tiny cave where Harriet lived. She had a cauldron to boil her food and a cauldron to create spells. She had a small black cat named Prince Fluffy-Tail who would sit beside the cauldron to stay warm during the cold days and nights.

4)The witch loved being by herself, she would open her front door and scream to the wind “I’M THE SCARIEST WITCH OF THEM ALL”. She loved that all the local villagers were too scared to climb the mountain. They were all afraid of heights and catching a cold, but most of all they were afraid of the wicked witch.

5)One day, Harriet Longnose was scratching her long nose with her long nails when she heard a rumble from below. She ran out of her house just in time to see an Avalanche forming on the hill behind her house! She screeched a wild scream and began running down the hill to escape the deadly avalanche…. Harriet long nose was rushing down the mountain she was scared until she new it from a few miles away from her house she had a secret door that under the ground and when she took 3 more steps and she found then she opened it and lived there for ever and when it stopped she still never wanted to go out.
